What is spirituality? Is it something that everyone has or does it only apply to certain people?
The word “spiritual” comes from the Latin word spiritus, meaning breath or wind. In ancient times, the term was used to describe the power of God. Today, the definition of spiritual is much broader. Many people believe that spirituality is related to religion.
Spirituality is the belief that there is some kind of higher power that exists beyond our material reality. Some people believe that they have a direct connection to their creator, while others simply believe that there is a greater force at play. Regardless of where you stand, these four stages of spirituality will help you better understand your beliefs.
What is Spiritual Journey?
A spiritual journey is a journey that takes place inside your mind and heart. You can take this journey alone or with someone else. When you are on a spiritual journey, you have a desire to connect with something bigger than yourself. This connection may be with God, nature, a higher power, or even a person who has passed away.
There are many different types of spiritual journeys that people take. Some people go on a religious journey, where they try to find out what their religion teaches them about life. Other people go on a personal journey, where they learn how to live a better life. Still, others go on a political journey, where they try and change the world around them. And some people go on a philosophical journey, where they explore ideas about life and the universe.
A spiritual journey is not always easy. Sometimes you feel like you are going nowhere, but then suddenly you realize that you have been moving forward all along. At other times, you feel like you are getting closer to your goal, but then you hit a wall and don’t know how to get past it. In these moments, you need to remember that no matter how hard things seem, you are still making progress towards your destination.

4 Stages of Spirituality
1. Initiation
The first stage of spiritual journey is called initiation. This is the time where we are introduced to our inner self and learn how to navigate through life’s obstacles. We begin to understand that we have been given gifts and talents to help us along our path.
In this phase, we are given the opportunity to experience life from a different perspective. We learn about our own self-identity and how we relate to others. This is where we begin to understand who we really are.
2. Illumination
In the second stage of spiritual journey, we are enlightened to the true nature of reality. Our mind becomes still and we gain clarity about who we really are and what we are here to do.
This is the point where you begin to understand that you are not this body, mind, emotions, thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences, etc. You are much greater than any of these things. You are pure consciousness experiencing itself through its various forms. At this level, you realize that you have always been enlightened but have forgotten who you really are. You start to remember who you truly are.
3. Integration
Integration is the third stage of spiritual journey. In this phase, we become aware of the world around us and begin to understand the connection between ourselves and others.
In this stage, we are able to integrate our experiences into our life. We have learned how to live from the heart and not just from the head. We can now apply what we have learned to our daily lives. This is where we learn to love ourselves and others. We learn to forgive and let go of resentment. We become aware of our inner self and understand that we are much bigger than our physical body. We begin to realize that we are connected to everything around us. We learn to accept who we are and stop trying to change. We finally learn to appreciate and value ourselves.
4. Enlightenment
Enlightenment is the final stage of your spiritual journey. You have been working hard at this since you were a child. You have learned many things about yourself and others.
You have grown from being a selfish person into a compassionate one. You have realized that life is not fair and that you are responsible for your own happiness.
You have come to understand that we all have our own path to follow. You have accepted the fact that you cannot control everything in your life.
You have learned to let go of the past and live in the present moment. You have learned how to forgive yourself and others.
You no longer need to blame anyone else for what has happened in your life. You know that you deserve love and respect. You have become aware of your true self and your inner power.
You have discovered that you can change anything in your life if you really want to. You have reached enlightenment.
At this point, we realize that we are not separate from anything or anyone. We are connected to everything and everyone. We are no longer bound by the limitations of time and space.
